The YouTube prayer channel started during Covid that’s causing a stir.
As people across the globe continue to use the internet to connect with family, friends and communities through video, many are finding that the video content is not as it seems to have existed online.
The popular YouTube channel – “WOW! Pray!” – began as a way for people to make a video of their own prayers.
“We thought this would be interesting because we want to pray as a group and not individually,” said “Kelsey,” the creator of the YouTube channel.
She set up the channel in March to try it out on Facebook.
“I thought it was really interesting, I’ve always wanted to pray but always felt like it would be hard to do on Facebook.”
“I was like ‘You guys could make a video of your prayers’ and I decided to start the channel. I got a lot of positive responses.”

The video went viral, and then thousands of prayers were uploaded to the channel.
“My biggest takeaway is how much love and support there is out there, and that is exciting,” said Kelsey.
“I hope after this is all over that we can still be praying together and connecting on the internet.”
