Wendy Williams leaves wellness facility and says she’s ‘back and better than ever’
Wendy Williams is ready to return to her life, even as she struggles to find a way to fill her time.
The 54-year-old model had just taken a stroll down the sidewalk in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood on Feb. 23 when a cab approached her and said she was “looking sharp.” She approached the cab, wearing her trademark denim skirt and bright yellow sneakers. She said she didn’t recognize the man and thought the driver was a random passerby who had seen her out walking last week.
But she didn’t feel safe.
She realized the cab was driven by a man in a security guard vest. Later, she asked to be driven to a nearby restaurant. She was seated at a table outside with a man who said he was in his 20s and had a police badge on his hip. He asked Williams to remove her jeans at a nearby table. She told him she had a pair of high heels on. He said she was “truly stunning” and escorted her to the cab.
They drove two blocks and she got in the backseat of the cab.
After a quick stop at a local diner, he put her in the back of the cab again.
